Volunteer Opportunities at the Museum:

After School Arts Program Volunteers

If you love being around children and their creative process, you will enjoy being part of our Youth Programs. You will have the joy of watching children learn and grow as artists while listening to their unique take on the world!

Be a Gallery Docent

If you enjoy chatting, meeting new people, and engaging with the public you may enjoy being a gallery docent. You will learn about the historic art collection at the gallery from our knowledgeable curator, Phillip Robertson and soon be an expert on Thomas Waterman Wood! We are looking for volunteers to participate in our volunteer docent program.

Exhibition Installation

If you love being around art and handling art, being a part of our installation team is where you may belong.

High School Internship

Our interns come from either Montpelier High School or U-32. They get to experience all aspects of the gallery from after-school programs and art camps to learning the world of gallery administration, receptions, installation with an introduction to museum level art management.
