“Seahorse” textile collage by Carolyn Shapiro

“Sea Wonders”

May 28 – July 24, 2026.

On view in the Nuquist Gallery, Sea Wonders is a joint installation by Vermont-based artists Carolyn Shapiro and Deb Fleischman celebrating our deep connection to the ocean. 16 vivid textile collages created by Carolyn Shapiro feature the diverse inhabitants of the ocean. Kelpy, an immersive ribbon display created by Deb Fleischman simulates a kelp forest guests can walk through. These combined works form a visual and sensory experience of a world underwater.
