Chances are you remember exactly where you bought your favorite clothing items. They bring back memories too. This is what makes it so hard to part with them, right? But you don’t have to! Instead of giving or throwing them away, come to our drop-in workshop for feedback, and creative solutions. You will learn how to repair and repurpose. Replace a zipper, hem your pants. Machines and most notions are provided. The workshop will be hosted by local teacher Nikki Matheson who has spent many years working in costumes and stagewear, and a lot of helping friends.

Materials: Students are responsible for bringing their own materials.

Instructor: Nikki Matheson attended university in NY and France, she apprenticed to a costume designer in NYC from whom she learned to make outfits for TV commercials, theater, and finally stage wear for clients such as Mick Jagger, Cher, C & W artists, and even Andy Warhol.
