On view in the Nuquist Gallery, Their Own Vision is an installation by Vermont artist Charlet Davenport who had last shown the exhibition at the T.W. Wood Museum in 1992. Davenport has masterfully painted recognizable copies of T.W. Wood paintings on one side of fiberglass screens suspended from single wires about chest level to viewers. On the other side of the screens are depictions of figures that hold personal significance to Davenport, such as her great-great-grandfather James Holland, a watercolorist of great renown who taught in Queen Victoria’s household. Also included in Their Own Vision installation are handmade ceramic vessels and prints from Davenport.
