DESCRIPTION:August 7th: Montpelier Art Walk\nArt Walk Reception 5-7:30 pm6:00 pm Artist Talk \nJoin us at the T.W. Wood Museum for the June Montpelier Art Walk and a special reception celebrating two new exhibitions. \nOn view at T.W. Wood Museum: \n\nIn Our Nuquist Gallery:“Their Own Vision” is an installation by Vermont artist Charlet Davenport who had last shown the exhibition at the T.W. Wood Museum in 1992. Davenport has masterfully painted recognizable copies of T.W. Wood paintings on one side of fiberglass screens suspended from single wires about chest level to viewers. On the other side of the screens are depictions of figures that hold personal significance to Davenport\, such as her great-great-grandfather James Holland\, a watercolorist of great renown who taught in Queen Victoria’s household.\nIn Our Contemporary Hall: “The 5th Annual Printmaking Invitational 2026” is an open-call exhibition showcasing work by local and regional printmakers since 2022. This exhibition is curated by experienced printmaker Phillip Robertson and Museum Coordinator\, Newton Gallegos. This exhibition showcases many printmaking techniques such as lithography and monoprints.\n\nEnjoy an evening of art\, conversation\, and community\, with an artist talk at 6:00 PM. \nThe Montpelier Art Walk is a bi-monthly\, self-guided arts tour throughout downtown Montpelier\, featuring artist receptions\, live music\, workshops\, local dining\, and a welcoming\, social atmosphere. It’s a wonderful way to experience the creativity and resilience of our capital city. \nArt Walk hours citywide: 4:00–8:00 PM(Some venues may offer extended hours—please check with individual locations.)
